I am on H-1B with validity for several more years and recently received I-485 EAD/AP. I may need to travel internationally. If I re-enter using Advance Parole, can I continue working for the same employer on H-1B, or do I need to switch to EAD and update I-9?

Using AP for entry is different from using EAD for work. If you choose to use EAD, the employer generally needs to update I-9.
