We responded to RFEs for both primary and derivative applicants. After delivery, only the derivative case showed an update, while the primary case has not changed. Has anyone seen family cases update separately like this?

Sometimes one case shows RFE received while the other stays unchanged until the next major action.

Yes, family cases can update independently even when responses were mailed together.
